How little we know the future, wonderful moments you can never recreate again.
The things that change by choice, by the path of time or by misfortune, and the consequences which make the past the past, set in stone.
It's OK, we'll move and normal will return and we can recreate the major events we've enjoyed before, this was the thought. But the truth is that it's not possible. We'll move, eventually, we'll end up in a different place to what we want, but those parties who are a part of that future memory change too, it's so easy to under estimate.
Children grow up, teenagers aren't interested and then they have their own lives and memories to make. You hope they'll come back to the fold, but can you make it irresistible enough to ensure they do, and what other things will magnetise them away, life offers new freedoms, a bigger, more wondrous world to explore that's at your finger tips. Does family hold the strength it used to? And there's always the time it takes to learn the strength of family against friendship.
Then theres path change, someone separates, moves, emigrates, then what? What was a straight forward plan of yearly get together is suddenly very difficult and complex, a juggling act.
Take it for granted? You think you don't at the time, everyone together, the warmth of the whole love brought into one room, but times change and evolve and bring new great things and takes away beloved golden things too. Don't take a second for granted, enjoy it to the full and bank it's feeling, atmosphere and presence, for it will never be again.
